IKEA is introducing its environmentally-friendly furniture line by giving out these functioning cardboard digital cameras. Dubbed the Knappa, the recyclable shooter is made from one piece of folded cardboard secured by two plastic screws. The device runs on two AA batteries and takes about 40 pictures at a time, shooting a three-second exposure with a processing time of eight seconds, resulting in images that are comparable to a circa 2004-produced camera-phone. Designed by Jesper Kouthoofd, the Knappa will be given away at select IKEA stores to customers who buy pieces from the company’s new PS 2012 collection, which is expected to debut in August. via: gizmag
