Aerial photography allows us to view the world from a completely new perspective.
It is a method of capturing photographs of the land from an elevated
location. What makes this technique so unique is that the camera from
which these pictures are taken is not supported by a ground-based
structure. The camera may be mounted or hand held. Photographers are
taken by a photographer, generated either remotely or automatically.
Such photographs can be taken from helicopters, rockets, blimps,
parachutes etc. Enjoy and be inspired by the following photographs.

This is one of the most stunning aerial photographs ever taken by Robert
Campbell. It is an actual photo of a salt pond taken from an
aeroplane.
Taken during a departure from Munich, this photograph looks like a shot out of a movie.
Cameron Davidson started his aerial photography career in 1980 while he
asked a pilot to help him get an 'aerial' view. He was taking snaps for
National Geographic at the time. Over the years, he has taken pictures
of all types of landscapes. The picture below gives us a glimpse of New
York city from the bird's eye view.
Paris sunset in gold. This breathtaking view was offered to us by Dutch Dennis.
A chance orbit of the International Space Station permitted the
astronauts the stunning view of the Sarychev valcono in an early stage
of eruption on June 12, 2009. It is one of the most active volcanoes in
the Kuril Island chain and is located on the northwestern end of Matua
Island.

This photograph is taken by Jason Hawkes. He's taken a number of picture
of London at night via a helicopter. This one offers a wonderful view
of the tower bridge and the river thames.
